Application and shaping process
Every Polygel Full Set begins with preparing the natural nails: trimming, light buffing and cuticle care to create a clean base. The putty-like Polygel is then applied either onto tips or directly sculpted on the nail and carefully shaped to the length and profile you request. Each layer is cured under a UV/LED lamp to set the material before refinement and color are added.
Technicians build the shape and thickness to balance strength with a lightweight feel, then refine edges and surface before finishing. Choose from natural tones, bold colors or custom art—our team follows client inspiration and proven techniques so you leave with a polished, durable finish that reflects the look you asked for.
Durability and at-home maintenance
Polygel offers long wear when cared for and generally lasts up to 3-4 weeks. Sets can be refilled and repainted a few times before a full new set is needed, making maintenance predictable. Professional removal is recommended to avoid damage; removal involves filing the topcoat then soaking in acetone for about 10–15 minutes and gently lifting softened product with a cuticle pusher.
Compared with acrylic and hard gel, Polygel is designed to be more flexible and lighter, a useful alternative for clients sensitive to acrylic chemicals or who prefer less weight. When removed professionally, Polygel does not cause nail damage; attempting DIY removal increases the risk of harm to nails and nail beds.
What to expect at appointment
The service generally takes about ~55 minutes and is booked in a 60 minute appointment slot. After shaping and curing, your set is finished with your choice of color and topcoat or a clear topcoat. The service ends with cuticle oil and a hand massage with nourishing lotion, giving a polished result and a relaxed finish that clients frequently describe as thoughtful and detail-oriented.
Gloss Nail Lounge is located on the Val Vista commercial corridor near Warner Road, convenient for clients traveling from Chandler, Mesa or via Loop 202.
