How gel polish works
Gel polish is a professional lacquer cured under an LED/UV lamp so it hardens immediately and resists everyday scratches. For toe nails that are structurally healthy but have worn or scratched color, gel polish typically lasts up to 2–3 weeks compared with ordinary polish’s 5–7 day lifespan.
This durability makes Gel Polish Change a good choice for clients who wear sandals, travel during summer, or want fewer touch-ups. Because the product bonds to the nail surface and is cured rather than air-dried, it tolerates typical foot activity better than regular polish.
What the service includes
A Gel Polish Change at Gloss Nail Lounge includes filing, buffing, professional gel color application and a protective topcoat, cured under a lamp. The actual application takes about ~15 minutes; appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes. Price for this toe service is $25. This service does not include removing existing polish—select the separate Polish Removal service for that.
Technicians focus on clean, precise application and color selection to achieve long-lasting results noted by our clients. Gloss Nail Lounge is located in South Gilbert on the Val Vista corridor near Warner Road, convenient for commuters and families combining nail care with nearby SanTan Village shopping or Downtown Gilbert dining.
Removal and maintenance
Professional removal is recommended to protect the natural nail. Gel polish is removed by filing off the topcoat, applying gel removal solution over the surface, waiting a couple minutes, then gently pushing the softened gel off with a cuticle pusher. When performed by a technician, removal does not cause nail damage.
This service cannot be refilled—re-application is required. Expect results to last up to 2–3 weeks when cared for; clients often reschedule or rebook every 2–3 weeks. Avoid picking at the polish to extend wear time and reduce the risk of lifting or nail damage.
