What a Polish Change Does
A Polish Change is a focused color refresh for nails that are structurally sound but show wear from daily life or sandals. At Gloss Nail Lounge we remove the old polish, lightly buff the nail plate, apply two coats of professional-grade color, and finish with a topcoat. This restores the look without altering nail structure or using long-wear systems.
This service is designed for quick cosmetic touch-ups rather than full nail reconstruction. Because we only refresh the polish and buff lightly, there’s no damage to the natural nail. It’s an efficient option when color is chipped, scratched by footwear, or simply faded from everyday use.
What to Expect During Service
The actual polish application typically takes about ~10 minutes; appointments are scheduled in a 30-minute block to allow for check-in, color selection and a careful finish. Your technician will remove old polish, check nail health, buff to smooth the surface, paint two color coats and seal with a topcoat using professional-grade polish.
Because the process is brief and focused, it’s ideal for busy clients commuting through the Val Vista corridor or visiting SanTan Village. The salon’s clean environment and attentive technicians mean you can expect a reliable, fast service without sacrificing precision or a relaxed experience.
Care and Wear Expectations
With proper care, a Polish Change lasts up to seven days. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, use gentle footwear during the first hours after service, and consider wearing sandals that don’t rub the polish. Removal is simple with regular nail polish remover or acetone when you’re ready for a new color.
This service cannot be refilled—reapplication is required when color has worn through. We recommend booking or rescheduling with 5–7 days notice if needed, and planning visits more frequently during Gilbert’s sandal season (June–August), when demand and wear from outdoor activities typically increase.
